We are always looking for quality volunteers in all sorts of areas within Newark Mind. Email or call us for your volunteering information pack, then we can arrange for you to come and have an informal chat about where you think your skills may be best placed with us and a tour of the building.

What do you need to be a volunteer with Newark Mind?

  • be aged over 18

  • be able to give at least 2 hours per week

  • be interested in and committed to supporting people with mental health difficulties

  • be reliable

  • commit to 2 half day induction sessions, followed by supervision sessions, volunteers meetings and annual review

  • be willing to adhere to Newark Mind’s policies and procedures

  • provide 2 references (these need to be two people you know from different situations, not family, maybe somebody who has supervised you at college or in paid or voluntary Work).

  • be willing to undergo a DBS check (at no cost to yourself)
